Filespresso is operated by Dhalko Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. We take a privacy-first approach: your files never leave your device, and we collect as little personal information as possible.
1. What we don't collect
- Your files. Every conversion happens in your browser. Files are never uploaded to our servers.
- File names or contents. Neither the names nor the contents of files you process are sent to us or to our analytics provider.
- Advertising trackers. No ads, no advertising pixels, no Facebook or Google tracking.
- Accounts. You do not need to sign up to use any tool.
2. What we collect
Tip payments. If you tip the project via Stripe, we receive your email address, the amount paid, and the date. Card details are handled directly by Stripe and are never sent to us. See Stripe's privacy policy.
Usage analytics. We use PostHog to capture anonymous product events such as which tool was used, how many files were processed, output sizes, and whether a conversion succeeded or failed. We do not collect filenames, file contents, or any data that identifies you personally. See PostHog's privacy policy.
Server logs. Filespresso is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, which logs basic request data (IP address, user agent, timestamp) for security and abuse prevention. We do not access these logs for any other purpose. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
3. How we use payment data
- Send you a receipt.
- Provide entitlements for any future paid features.
- Comply with UK tax and accounting law (statutory retention: 7 years).
4. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction or deletion of your data.
- Object to processing or withdraw consent.
- Lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
